A New York City native, Alex has spent her career in various roles in education beginning in 1991 with Teach For America. Since 2004 she has been working with adult educators in the field of Professional Development and Program Evaluation. First, as a mentor for new teachers in the NYC Department of Education and then for Teachstone as a coach, program evaluator and senior trainer for age levels infant through high school.
Zaina has worked in a variety of capacities in the field of education with toddler through elementary school children and their families, including children with special needs. A Pre-K Regional Instructional Specialist for the School District of Philadelphia, she is also adjunct faculty at Arcadia University in the graduate program for Early Childhood Education (B.S. in ECE and Special Education, M.S.Ed. in Elementary Reading and Literacy).
Heather is a nutritionist, whole foods chef and speaker. She received her master's degree from NYU for clinical nutrition and a chef's certification from The Natural Gourmet Institute, the premier cooking school for health supportive cooking. Heather has the ability to understand the clinical perspective while translating that information into practical, everyday skills, making your way of eating, nutritious and delicious.
Haley is an accomplished museum professional with a passion in creative engagement for learners of all ages and abilities. Having recently completed her Master's in Leadership in Museum Education, Haley is ready to tackle new challenges and create accessible and inclusive educational opportunities wherever possible. As an artist, she is excited to incorporate the arts into her coaching and encourage new artists through her sessions.
Stacy has over 20 years' experience and entered education through Teach for America, teaching science, math and reading in secondary schools. She then became a teacher trainer and taught tertiary education. Stacy has also led the science program for a school district in New York City, managing a National Science Foundation grant, selecting curriculum for grades K-8 and designing and implementing Continuous Professional Development.
Erika is the founder of ChildrenFlow, an organization whose mission is to empower young children's development through evidence-based professional development in early childhood education. She has over 20 years of experience in the early education field. Rachel began her career in education teaching in New York City as an inductee of Teach for America's 1995 corps. She is currently an Early Childhood Instructional Specialist providing coaching and professional development support to district schools, charter schools, private schools, and community based child-care centers within the network of Pre-K for All, 3-K for All, and Early Learn programs in New York City.
Alex studied Cognitive Science at Vassar College, followed by two years of genetics research at Columbia University. Today, he's an established musician and music educator. Since 2015, Alex has taught drums and music production at Replay Music Studios as well as toured the U.S. and Europe with singer/songwriters and jazz ensembles. He has also released two solo albums. Specializing in infant/toddler teaching and learning practices, Jan has almost 40 years of experience. Her expertise spans child development, adult-child interactions, curriculum, assessment, responsive learning and birth-5. Jan has worked with many organizations, including a Head Start grantee and two national training and technical help centers, a large literacy non-profit, and a developer of early childhood curricula/assessment tools.
Pensri has trained teachers on instructional efficacy and conducted toddler through high school home care, classroom and individual student assessments for the past seven years. Given her training in cultural anthropology and ethnic studies, she has expertise in interracial, multicultural, immigrant and expatriate household dynamics that inform her culturally sensitive instruction and educational assessments of children.
Ann has worked for over twenty years in early childhood education as a teacher, education director and manager of curriculum, in Head Start, child care, public school prekindergarten and private schools. She has expertise in the use of early childhood program quality measures, including CLASS, ECERS, ITERS and SELA, to assess classroom quality and support educators' professional development.
After a successful 20 year career in Media and International Corporate Communications, Genevieve joined Teach for America in 2017. She is currently a New York City public school teacher who focuses on students with different learning needs. Specifically, Genevieve works with kids who have been diagnosed with ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia, and Speech Impairments, among others.
A graduate of the Juilliard School and vocal arts program at Bard College, Soprano Celine has performed with numerous Operas and been teaching in conjunction with performing since her undergraduate days. She has taught at Juilliard Pre-College, Bronx House School for the Performing Arts, the Third Street Music School Settlement, Bard College Preparatory Division, and recently the Rome School for Music, Drama and Art at Catholic University.
Sonia's specialty areas include early childhood education (ECE), youth-focused organizations, and animal welfare. Her extensive experience encompasses ECE as a classroom teacher, center and regional director, director of operations, and executive leadership of corporate and nonprofit organizations locally and nationally. Sonia is also the owner of You Rock! Consulting providing guidance for child development organizations in crisis.
